Neva Adele Sparkman

<p>Neva Adele Sparkman, 93, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 202</p> <p>Neva, the daughter of the late Arthur Lewis and Louise (Phelps) Dover, was born March 28, 1927, in Big Island, Missouri.&nbsp; She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she previously taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. For many years Neva worked as a bookkeeper for West&rsquo;s Florist and Cleveland Insurance Agency.&nbsp; In 1969 she joined her husband to take over Caldwell Cleaners after his sister Hattie Caldwell and her husband Roy retired.&nbsp; Neva was a former member of the Altrusa Club, where she served two terms as president.&nbsp; She enjoyed spending time with her family and being active in church.</p> <p>On Oct. 4, 1964, she married Bill Sparkman.&nbsp; He preceded her in death in 2009. &nbsp;&nbsp;Neva was also preceded by her daughter Sherrie Keller and her son-in-law Wally Keller.</p> <p>Survivors include three grandchildren, Amanda (Chas) Williams, Sarah (Mike) Glover and Hank Keller; three great-grandchildren, Charlie Williams, Henry Williams and Martha Kate Williams; and many nieces, nephews and friends.</p> <p>Visitation will begin at 10 am Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020 at First Baptist Church, with the funeral service following at 11 am.&nbsp; The Rev. Chas Williams will officiate, and the Rev. Brandon Spain will assist.&nbsp; Burial will be in the City Cemetery.</p> <p>Memorial donations may be made in Neva&rsquo;s memory to First Baptist Church Library.</p> <p>Cotrell Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of Neva A. Sparkman.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
