<p>We are all deeply saddened by the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.&nbsp; Margaret passed away peacefully at Trillium Hospice in the early morning hours on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the age of 85 years.&nbsp; Margaret was predeceased by her parents Cyril and Constance (Connie), her second husband Bill Milligan and her only sibling Doreen.&nbsp;</p> <p>Margaret is survived by her loving husband Robert Settler, six children including Rocky Krogfoss, Steve (Lanette) Krogfoss, Gary (Kristine) Krogfoss, Glenn Krogfoss, Perry (Tanya) Krogfoss, Scott (Jennifer) Stewart, 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and Nika, her beautiful beagle dog.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Margaret was born in Vancouver, B.C. and lived in various cities throughout B.C. in her childhood as her dad was a member of the B.C. Police Force.&nbsp; Margaret often spoke of the various places she lived as a child, including Cranbrook, Smithers and the Queen Charlotte Islands (during WWII).&nbsp; She really enjoyed the outdoors as a child and especially loved to swim and ice skate.&nbsp; She also learned to play the piano and was a gifted piano player.&nbsp; Margaret worked at Nanaimo General Hospital for 23 years and she spoke fondly of both her job and co-workers at the hospital.&nbsp; Maybe one of her most amazing accomplishments was passing and obtaining her Grade 10 Royal Conservatory piano teaching certification at the age of 80 years.&nbsp; Margaret loved to play her baby grand piano and her music was simply beautiful and will be enjoyed by her family for years to come.&nbsp;&nbsp; Margaret had a deep passion for all animals, especially dogs, and she lovingly raised many rescue dogs in her life.&nbsp; She also gave generously to many charities including the SPCA.</p> <p>To our wife, mom, grandma, and great grandmother, you will be greatly missed by all, but never forgotten! &nbsp;May you now rest in peace wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother&hellip;.we all love you forever&hellip;&hellip;</p> <p>A Celebration of Life for Margaret will be held at a later date, likely in the summer of 2021.&nbsp; In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.</p>
