Alice Rita Fausz Mathews was born March 1, 1924, she passed way on October 31, 2020. Alice is proceeded in death by her husband James W. Mathews.  She is survived by her 5 children, Deborah Mathews, Marva Bentley, James Mathews, Carl Lane, Bonnie Clement.  Also her 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.  Alice was born in Cudahy, Wisconsin and after graduation she moved to Southern California where she lived with her sister Betty Jane Fausz House Johnson, then moved to live the rest of her life in Oregon City, Oregon.  Where she married James W. Mathews.  Alice and Jim traveled a lot with Jim’s Navy reunions where Alice was secretary for the group, they bowled in many bowling leagues, Alice was also secretary for many of the leagues.  Alice also belonged to the Oregon City Elks women’s auxiliary where she was President for a time and worked the Sunday morning pancake feed.  Alice loved to be around her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to go to the to watch the kids many different ball games and enjoyed many Duck games watching with her “boys”. Alice loved to crochet, and before her death made many afghans for her family. Due to Covid her memorial will be held in her honor August 7 2021 held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
