Peacefully at home in Pembroke on Saturday, October 31st, 2020 at the age of 68. Gwendolyn passed away with her family by her side after battling a lengthy illness for the last few years. Gwendolyn Dumouchel of Pembroke, beloved wife and soulmate for 47 years of Emile Dumouchel. Loving mother and best friend of Vincent Dumouchel. Dear sister of Murray Mathieu (late Bev Farr and late Shirley Chaput) and Joan (Bill) Houlihan both of Pembroke. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Celeste Mathieu (nee Labelle) and by her brothers Francis (former wife Mae Arnold and late Irene Mohns), Robert (late Mary Nugent), Ronald, Cecil (late Eunice Wilson), Wayne (late Rita Pleau), Kenneth (Sandy Dupuis), Larry (former wife Suzanne Martin and Emma Kutchaw) and by her sisters Geneva (late George Grubich and late Alan Mitton) and Doreen (late Stan Nieman). Gwendolyn will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A Funeral Mass honoring Gwendolyn’s life will be celebrated on Monday, November 9th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Columbkille’s Cathedral Church, Pembroke. Interment will follow in St. Columba’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations to the War Amps of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
