It is with great sadness the family of Ernest Stanley of Burin announce his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on November 2nd, 2020 at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Christina of 62 years; sons Douglas (Jane) of Pasadena and Ernest Jr. (Eileen) of Pittsburgh; daughters Rhonda Friisdahl (Flemming) of BC and Donna Hanrahan (Brian) of Clarenville; grandchildren David (Beth), Nathan, Mark, Adam, Brooke (Fletcher), John, Annie, Marisa (Amit), Natalie, Kristy, Morgan (Brandon) and Evan (Shauna); great grandchildren Kara and Hudson; his twin sister Lillian Seymour and sister Barbara Large (Doug); his brother Douglas Stanley (Kathy) plus a large circle of other family and friends. In keeping with Ernest's wishes Cremation has taken place. Family will be accepting visitors at Serenity Funeral Home Friday 1-3PM and 5-7PM. A private service will be held for family only. The funeral will be live streamed for public viewing. A link will be provided on obituary Friday afternoon. Donations in Ernest's memory may be made to Burin SPCA.
