Stavely, Brian Saginaw, MI Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous month-long battle with cancer at the age of 54 years. The son of Carol (Pretzer) Stavely and the late Warren Stavely was born on April 11, 1961 in Saginaw. He married Cathy M. Tagget on November 4, 1989; she survives him. Brian was working for the Local Union #85 Plumbers and Steamfitters. He enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR, spending time up north at his cabin, boating on his pontoon, and traveling to the Smokie Mountains of Tennessee. Brian most especially loved to spend time with his family. Surviving besides his wife of 26 years, Cathy, and his mother Carol, are his children: Jennifer (Jerry) Gracias, Trent Stavely, grandchildren: Nathan and Madison Gracias, his siblings: Greg (Jill) Stavely, Jeff Stavely, Linda (Bill) Buddle, Laurie Smith, Scott Stavely; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Steve (Kim) Tagget, Jeff (Sandy) Tagget, Scott (Lori) Tagget, Jason Tagget, many nieces, nephews, one great-niece and great-nephew, and dear friends. Brian was predeceased by his grandparents and his mother and father-in-law. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016, at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Adam Harbaugh will officiate with burial at Spaulding Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the funeral chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where a time of sharing will take place at 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
