Lonnie Raymond Goff Weiser, Idaho Obituary

Lonnie Raymond Goff

Lonnie R. Goff August 31, 1945-November 2, 2020 Lonnie R. Goff, 75 of Weiser, Idaho went home to be with the Lord at his home on November 2, 2020, surrounded by family. Lonnie was born in Ontario, Oregon to Arvin and Rosie Goff, Payette, Idaho. He was one of four siblings. He was an adventurous child and quite often could be found on the banks of the Payette River, with his brother, Ron and often found a little mischief. He graduated from Fruitland, HS in 1966 and was active in football, track, choir and 4 years of FFA. He was Snowball Prince and Sweethearts Ball King, in his senior year. After high school, he served in the US. Army and then the Idaho National Guard. His love of country was most evident. He loved his family, friends, hunting, fishing and motorcycles. His desire to ride fast and take a few chances were a given. Lonnie’s love for the Lord and his strong faith, radiated in his everyday life and practices. It did not matter what the situation was, he was always for the underdog. His strength to overcome obstacles was amazing. Especially when it came to health issues. His life became a struggle, but his kind heart and love of God was displayed daily. He was such an inspiration to all who knew him. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents Arvin and Rosie Goff. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara Goff: Daughter Angela Goff (Renee), Nampa, ID; Son Eric Goff, Weiser, ID; Stepson Dan Bain (Shauna), Payette, ID and step-daughter Shawna Ulrich (Joe) Meridian, ID. Grandchildren, Tyler Bain, Robby Bain, Logan Ulrich, Ella Arriero-Goff and Preston Arriero-Goff. Brother Ron (Carmen) Goff, Caldwell; Sisters Beverly (John) Calligheris, Debra (John) Fuhriman. Not to mention numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, and Horizon Home Health Care and Hospice, for the support and comfort they provided, during this difficult time. Due to Covid, going into winter, and with everyone’s health and safety in mind, the family has decided to have a virtual Celebration of Life. We understand the desire for everyone to gather together at times like this, and we are sad that it won’t be possible. The service will be live to view on November 12th at 2pm MST. You can view the live service at www.Facebook.com/weiserchurch/live. If you cannot view live, you can recall the video at www.Facebook.com/weiserchurch/videos. Arrangements under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.
