<p style="text-align: center;"><b><i>Thank you to the participants in Cleo&#39;s service:</i></b></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><b><i>Clergy ~ Pastor George Shaver</i></b></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><b><i>Soloist ~ Traci Linn Samelson</i></b></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><b><i>Pallbearers ~ Cleo&#39;s Children and Grandchildren</i></b></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><b><i>-----------------------------------------------------------------------</i></b></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Cleo La Von (Speh) Anderson, age 94, of Tulare, SD, passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes, on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at the Eastern Star Home in Redfield, SD.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Her graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at the Burdette Cemetery in Hand County, SD.&nbsp; Pastor George Shaver will officiate.&nbsp; The service will be recorded and uploaded to the funeral home website after the service.&nbsp; Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield.&nbsp; (www.hykefuneralhome.com)</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Cleo La Von Speh was born on September 11, 1926, to Jake and Florence (Ericson) Speh of Tolstoy, SD.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Cleo graduated from Plainview Academy in Redfield, SD where she met and made many lifelong friends, including her future husband, Russell Lee Anderson.&nbsp; Russell and Cleo were married January 12, 1950.&nbsp; They spent their lives together at the Anderson Farm west of Tulare.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Cleo attended Union College in Lincoln, NE and then completed her teaching degree at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD.&nbsp; She taught Home Economics at Plainview Academy until it closed in 1965.&nbsp; In addition to teaching, Cleo dedicated herself to many civic, community,&nbsp;and neighborhood activities that included the Wheaton Missionary Society and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Cleo was also quite the lady.&nbsp; She always dressed with style, grace, and class.&nbsp; Her immaculate home reflected her passion for fine china, crystal, glassware, and shoes.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Cleo is survived by her children:&nbsp; Randall (Vickee), Rocky, Candee (Randal), Reginald, Reed (Tamara), Ryan (Pam); grandchildren:&nbsp; Chad, Chauncey, Ross, Sara, Dylan, Abigail, Emily,&nbsp; and Sarah; and great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Lyndzie, Lexzie, and Brynlee.</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell Lee Anderson, sister Ardis Fulk and daughter-in-law Kathleen (Lagro) Anderson.</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>In lieu of flowers, the family kindly prefers memorials sent to:&nbsp; Candyce Werth, 10125 County Road 19, Lidgerwood, ND, 58053</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>
