John William Klein Sr.

John William Klein Sr. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday evening, January 14, 2017, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 83 years. The son of Mae (Duty) and John Klein was born, August 26, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Jean Prast. She passed away 1986. Later he married Barbara Jacob, August 6, 1988. She survives him. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. He was employed by General Motors, Nodular Iron Foundry, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Parish, St. Stephen Church. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #497, Shields and enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing. Surviving besides his wife, Barbara, are six children, two step-children and their spouses, John Klein Jr, Florida; Jane and Frank Lewis, Oklahoma; Juli and Jeff Brownlie, Saginaw, MI; Jery Klein Sr. and his wife, Ronda, Mt. Clemens, MI; Jeff Klein, Florida; Jann and Matt Kennedy; Scott and Amy Jacob; Michelle and Doug Davis, all of Saginaw; 13 grandchildren, Jamie Smith; Jessica Young; Jerica Richmond; Jeanine Brownlie; Jery Klein Jr; Amanda Klein; James and John Kennedy; Randy and Elizabeth Jacob; Daniel, Kimmie and Katie Davis; a great granddaughter, Kenzie Davis; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Jackie Klein, Newberry, MI; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Marvin and Marlin Klein have predeceased him. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Church, 1310 Malzahn St. Saginaw. Rev. Andrew LaFramboise will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and then on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy.
