He grew up in the Regent area and then moved to Dickinson, ND where he worked at ABLE Inc. the last 40 years doing various maintenance jobs, cleaning, and worked at the thrift shop. For the last 28 years he made his home with Easter Seals Goodwill. Leroy developed a strong love of horse and farm animals and had quite a large collection of figurines and statues of horses. He also enjoyed looking through Christmas catalogs that his mom had saved through the years, and watching his train set go around. At his birthday or Christmas time, nobody unwrapped presents as fast as Leroy could. Linda Candrian was a very special friend to Leroy, and he would often call her “Mom.” Leroy is survived by his brothers, Lawrence, and Patrick; Sisters, Virginia (Melvin) Kessler, Marcella Kennedy, Florence (Joe) Dawang, Martha (Earl) Wallace, Patty (Duane) Lemke; numerous nieces and nephews; his ABLE family; and his Easter Seals Goodwill family. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Frank Kennedy; sister-in-law, Alice; and a niece, Justina Lemke
