Thomas Marshall

Thomas E. Marshall, 73, of Baldwin, passed away October 29, 2020. Tom Marshall was born in Waynesburg, Pa. in 1947. He attended Frazier High School in Perryopolis, and the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. Tom is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean (Dzara) Marshall; daughters, Laura (Robert) Hayes and Amy (Kelly) Hahne; grandchildren, Amanda Hayes, Adam Hayes, Julia Hahne and Thomas Hahne; siblings, Danny Marshall of Florida, Debbie Richael of New York and Rick Marshall of California. Tom married his high school sweetheart, Jean, in 1966. He served in the USAF as an Aircraft Hydraulic Repair Technician during the Vietnam era. He worked for many years for the Bureau of Mines in Bruceton, Pa., doing mining research. Tom put his faith and family first and foremost in his life. He was a devoted husband and father and friend to many. He was a kind, humble and loving man. Tom was dedicated to the Catholic Church and served for many years as a lay minister of the Eucharist. He was very active in many church organizations and served on many retreat teams for the Pittsburgh Cursillo Movement. Tom’s favorite passion and hobby was fishing. From his early childhood to his last days he enjoyed fishing here at home, at the ocean, and taking a trip every year to Quebec and Ontario, Canada fishing the lakes for Walleye. He enjoyed being with his friends, playing Dominos, and reading fiction novels. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and Tom only had one more state to visit to complete visiting all 50 states. His greatest journey was a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Friends will be received Tuesday, November 3rd from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at 10 A.M. at Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Thomas A' Becket Worship Site, 139 Gill Hall Road, Clairton, PA 15025.
