Mary L. Runkle, 82, of Howard, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 29, 2020.

She was born in Marsh Creek on January 23, 1938, the daughter of the late Lewis and Catherine Brumgard Wagner. She was united in marriage to Lavern Runkle who preceded her in death on March 18, 2010.

Mary worked as a secretary for McCormick's for 30 years. In her later years she enjoyed playing card games on her computer and watching episodes of Survivor.

She is survived by a son, Michael Bowes of Howard, two daughters, Barbara Cother of Forksville and Lori ( Thomas ) Fisher of Browns Mills, New Jersey, two brothers, Lewis "Gene" ( Janet ) Wagner of Connecticut , and David Wagner of Georgia, a sister, Carrie ( Robert ) Martin of Pennsylvania, and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be private at the families convenience. She will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery.
