Pastor John Kiddy is now with Jesus. The Savior he has preached about for so long, is now in his presence. Pastor Kiddy departed this life on Friday, October 30, 2020 in Tulsa, OK. Born to John Richard Kiddy, Sr. & Jean Mavis (Holmes) Alexander on January 5, 1957, in Peoria, IL, he had obtained the age of 63 years, 9 months, & 25 days. John grew up & attended elementary school near Washington, IL. He graduated Washington High School with the class of 1975. He completed pipefitting classes at Penn State University & trained to be a journeyman. Having worked for Grinnell Fire Protection in Tulsa, OK for over 30 years, he retired as a construction manager in 2006. John Richard Kiddy, Jr. & Edna May Merrill were united in marriage on June 5, 1985, in Bentonville, AR. Together, in 1990, they established & began to pastor Cornerstone Outreach Revival Center in Locust Grove, OK. Pastor Kiddy has led many souls to Christ throughout his years in his ministry. Whether attending or leading them, he loved camp meetings & revivals. His talents for playing the guitar, banjo, & mandolin, along with his singing abilities, have blessed many people over the years. As well, he had written several songs over the years. John enjoyed a good cup of coffee & was a very good cook. He maintained a recipe book & was famous for his beanie weenies. He had a love for cars & a large collection of tools. John was also known to keep an immaculate yard. He worked hard to keep it well maintained & manicured. His love & passion for his wife & family was only surpassed by that for his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Although he will be dearly missed for years to come, we have the choice to meet him again in Heaven. John is survived by: his loving wife, Edna, of the home; 3 children: Eric Hindahl of Broken Arrow, OK, Nicole Kiddy-Alicea & husband Orlando of Locust Grove, OK, & Michelle Kiddy of Broken Arrow, OK; A man that was just like his son: Johnny Willis & his wife Magen of Locust Grove, OK; 6 grandchildren: Cameron Alicea, Gabriel Alicea, Olivia Alicea, Jalaya Riggs, Cayden Thompson, & Easton Gomez; His mother: Jean Alexander of Salina, OK; 1 brother: Bill Jacobson & wife Linnea of North Carolina; 1 sister: Teresa Recar & husband Larry of Salina, OK; 1 aunt: Nell Lucas & husband Wayne of Tulsa, OK; Numerous other relatives, a host of church family, & many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M., November 3, 2020 at Cornerstone Outreach Revival Church in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Reverend John Parrish and Tommy Parker officiated. Interment followed at McClain Cemetery near Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to Locust Grove Funeral Home in Locust Grove, Oklahoma.
