It is with great sadness that the family of the late Owen Joseph Butler of Burin announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Friday, October 30th, 2020, at the age of 86.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 61 years Sarah; sons, Terry (Kimberley) of Wolfville, NS, Sandy (Sandra) of Winterland, John (Colleen) of Grand Prairie, AB; daughters, Michelle (Todd) of Heart's Delight, Laura (Rod) of Lewin's Cove; daughter-in-law, Cynthia of Burin; 8 grandchildren, Gerard (Terrilynn), Erin (Andy), Gregory (Kayla), Wayne (Samantha), Gena Marie (Tyler), Stella, Rowynn, Hayley; 5 great grandchildren, Tanner, Parker, Zachary, Tegan, Nate; brothers, Gordon and Bill; sisters, Fran, Kathleen, Lillian, Jessie, Shirley, Mary (Les); brothers-in-law, Eugene Power (Francis), George Power, Charlie Power (Sandra); sisters-in-law, Violet (Joseph) Brenton, Theresa Daley (Charlie), Margaret Moulton (William). Many nieces and nephews plus a large circle of extended friends and family.

Owen was predeceased by his mother Isabel and father John; son, Eugene; brothers, George and Jack; sisters, Irene and Sue; parents-in-law William J. & Mary E. Power; brothers-in-law, Wayne Taylor Sr., Raymond Picco, James Keating, Todd Stapleton, Thomas Power, Benedict Power; sister-in-law, Joan Power.

Special thanks to the staff of the Dialysis Unit, Ambulance service and PCW Helena. You always brightened his day and he spoke fondly of you often.

The Butler Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman's Funeral Home - Burin, NL on Saturday, October 31st, 2020 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Sunday, November 1st, 2020 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Patrick's R.C. Church on Monday, November 2nd, 2020 at 3:30 pm.

Inurnment to follow at St. Patrick's Old Cemetery Burin, NL on Friday, November 13th, 2020 at 1:00pm

In Owen's memory donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.
