NORMA WALTON Mrs. Norma Walton, 100, of the Good Samaritan Home, died at 11:42 a.m. Sunday (October 13, 2002) in Blessing Hospital. Born May 6, 1902 in Quincy, Norma was the daughter of Henry C. and Elizabeth Gruell Warmker. She married William L. Walton on May 27, 1975 in Quincy. He died April 19, 1979. Mrs. Walton was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ, Salem Evening Guild, Good Samaritan Auxiliary and was active with the American Red Cross. A graduate of Quincy High School and Gem City College, Mrs. Walton was employed as a secretary for C.I.P.S. for 32 years until her retirement. Mrs. Walton is survived by many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Stephen Schuette. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Salem Church or the Good Samaritan Home.
