Heidi Astill Obituary

HEIDI ERIN ASTILL

1984 ~ 2020

Heidi Erin Astill (age 36) passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 after a brief fight with cancer. She was the wife of David Astill. They shared six years together and brought a beautiful baby girl, Addeline Auslog Astill, into the world just eight short months ago.

Born July 21, 1984, to John and Marga Schmieg. She attended Alta High School in Sandy, Utah and graduated in 2003. She enjoyed making friends and/or sharing a quick laugh with anyone she came across.

She will be remembered for her positive outlook, spontaneity, and contagious laugh. Heidi always made people feel welcome and loved. She was truly one-of-a-kind. She would light up any room with her vibrant smile, spunky personality and cheery disposition. She was fun, generous, adventurous and courageous.

She enjoyed many things in life, especially crafting and painting, decorating her home or others, restoring old furniture and spending time with her friends and family. Some of the activities she enjoyed with Dave were riding motorcycles, going on adventures and finding where the wind would take them.

She is survived by her husband, David Astill and Addeline Auslog Astill (Auzy) and her cat Skribbles. She is preceded in death by her father John William Schmieg and survived by her mother Marga (Joseph) Draper, and brothers Dustin (Samantha) Schmieg, Derek Schmieg, Stephen Schmieg, Kyle Schmieg and her stepsiblings Derrek (Ainsley Lloyd) Draper, Megan (Chase) Wilson, and Jessica Draper, In-laws include Kelly and Cindy Astill and their many wonderful children and grandchildren

Heidi knew and believed that we are only here for a short time, but that we will be ALWAYS be a family forever.
