Peter Thomas Glunt, age 51, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his parent’s home in Ferndale, Washington. He is remembered as a kind and loving soul. Peter was always willing to help despite of his disabilities. Peter was born on January 29, 1969 in Sacramento, California to Richard and Wendy (Judd) Glunt. As a teenager he was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerate eye disease eventually taking most his eye sight. He never let his disability stop him. Peter graduated from Stanwood High School in 1989 then spent 2 years serving in the De Moines, Iowa mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Peter attended The Lions School for the Blind where he met his future wife Jody Kusah. They were married June 11, 1994 in the LDS Temple in Portland Oregon, living in Vancouver, Washington from 1994 to 2020. Jody remembers how helpful and supportive he was and together they made a great team. Peter loved to help on the farm with the Dairy Goats, showing 4-H dogs and goats, and being with family. Peter will be greatly missed by his wife of 26 years Jody, parents Richard and Wendy Glunt; brothers Paul (Greta), James (Erica), Matthew (Cynthia), Steven (Angela), Andrew (Desire), and Mark (Mariah); sister Sarah Davis (Peter) and numerous Nieces and Nephews. The family will have a private graveside service in Monumenta Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
