Barbara Lee Jibben, 71, a resident the Forest Grove community, died Thursday morning, October 29, 2020 at her home. Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove. Private Interment will follow at the Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 S.E. Mt. Scott Blvd. in Portland, Oregon. BARBARA LEE JIBBEN was born September 18, 1949 in Salem, Oregon, the daughter of the late Gordon Goodwin and Phyllis (Harmon) Goodwin. She was raised and received her education in the community, having been a graduate of the Elmira High School Class of 1967. She attended Lane Community College in Vancouver, Washington, having received an associate degree. She was united in marriage to Wendell R. Jibben on September 21, 1989 in De Smet, South Dakota. They celebrated their 31th Wedding Anniversary this past September. Following their marriage, they resided in the communities of Pierre, South Dakota and Kennewick, Washington, until 2012, when they moved to Oregon, settling in the Forest Grove community, where they have resided since. Barbara had worked as a bookkeeper in the die tooling industry in Beaverton, for several years, until she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Phyllis Goodwin. Survivors include her husband, Wendell Jibben, of the family home in Forest Grove, Oregon; her four children and their spouses, Melissa Larson, of Forest Grove, Oregon; Michelle and Mike Turner; Scott Jibben and Angela and Stephen Hartwig, all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her brother, Clell Goodwin, of Springfield, Oregon and his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Vic Cusworth, of Spokane, Washington. Also surviving are her ten grandchildren, Jordan and Jackson Longsberry; Lincoln Turner; Amelia, Avery, Drease and Popy Jibben and Alden, Elliott and Ronan Hartwig and several nieces and nephews.
