John “JC” Carroll, 90, of Newport, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City.

Elder Carroll pastored at Newport Primitive Baptist Church and Cypress Creek Primitive Baptist Church of Onslow County.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Newport Primitive Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Newport.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Linda Hallman of Pine Level, NC; niece, Patricia McCain of Kinston; nephew, Clifton Carroll of Wilmington; niece, Billy Sue Barbour of Newport; niece, Jean Carroll House of New Bern; niece, Brenda Spaanbroek of Raleigh; niece, Debbie Weeler of Creedmoor; niece, Christy Carroll of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home of Morehead City.
