Mrs. Moncille Thompson Moore, age 82, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away October 28, 2020. She was born February 13, 1938 in Fruithurst, AL to the late Euell Ernest and Jessie Olene Thrasher Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Ross Thompson. Moncille was a member of West View Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Earnest Ray Moore; daughter and son in law, Patti and Scott McClure, all of Tallapoosa; step daughter, Vickie Lewis, of Perry, GA; grandchildren, Eli McClure, Jessalyn McClure; step-grandchildren, Gamble Greathouse, Jenna Edgar, and Jaime Winchester; several step-great grandchildren; twin sister, Lucille Wade, of Lineville, AL; and brother, Woodrow Thompson, of Edwardsville, AL. Funeral services were held October 31, 2020 at 2:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Alton Stamey and Rev. Mike Casey officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers were David Robinson, Ty Shelton, Reid Shelton, Brody Barkley, Braxton Barkley, Beau Barkley and Parker Austin. Interment followed in Hollywood Cemetery with Dr. Allen Wilburn officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with her service costs.
