She was a member of the Arvada Elks for several decades, serving for a time as the Elks (Ladies) Historian and Treasurer. Lynda was a staff favorite at the Healthcare facility where she resided for the last 5 years, known for her infectious smile and easy-going nature. Lynda loved the holidays and was always happy to cook large holiday meals for the family. They all miss favorite recipes that she made on special occasions. The list of those recipes is very long! Lynda had a great love for Christmas and all that goes with the season. If you visited over the holidays, you would see her Christmas Village on full display in the living room, complete with snow, miniature houses, shops, people, and a working train. The rest of the house would also be decorated, including the front door wrapped in red and green like an over-sized gift. Homemade Christmas cookies were always on hand. Many of those cookie recipes were handed down from her mother and grandmother. Lynda’s family and friends will miss her dearly and keep her close in their hearts always. Her legacy will live on in her family whom she loved so much.
