Thomas C. Moran Obituary

Thomas C. Moran, 75, of Seabrook, NH, and former longtime Newburyport resident, died Tuesday morning, October 27, at the High Pointe House, Haverhill. He was born in Newburyport, June 26, 1945, son of the late Joseph H. and Selvestine (Contos) Moran. Educated in the Newburyport school system, Mr. Moran graduated from Newburyport High School, class of 1962. During the Vietnam War he enlisted in the United States Air Force and attained the rank of A1C. He earned a National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Upon being honorably discharged he began a career as a machinist for over 40 years at General Electric, Lynn, from where he retired in 2015. He was a member of the North End Boat Club and Neptune Club, both in Newburyport. His survivors include a daughter, Wendy Busam and her significant other Rob Quast of Chesapeake, VA, a son, Sean and his wife Andrea Narvaez-Moran of Los Angeles, CA, two sisters, Jill and her husband Michael Prizio of Saugus, MA, Janis Bassett of Lynn, a grandson, Tyler Busam and his significant other Megan McClenny, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Moran was also the brother of the late Jack Moran and Cheryl O’Brien. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill & Bradford.
