Juanita "Juana" Mariz Oceanside Obituary

Juanita "Juana" Mariz

Juanita Juanita was a wonderful storyteller and loved reminiscing about her childhood in Mexico. She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing quietly as she prepared delicious homemade meals. Another gift of hers was growing and caring for her lovely plants. Her garden usually consisted of yerba buena, lemon grass, oregano, and if possible, a lemon and platano tree. Her newfound affection for dogs made her an excellent dog sitter. She would spend plenty of quality time snuggling on the couch with her grand dogs. She made the best albondigas, enchiladas and tortillas in the universe!  She was a single mother of 10 children, and it was a tough life at times. However, she always instilled in her children a faith in God to keep us strong despite our circumstances. We know she has returned Home now to be with her beloved Mamá, family and fur babies. We know she’s laughing and playing with them in Heaven. She is survived by her children Jesus, Francisco, Gregorio, Rosalia, Gabriel, Ricardo, Patricia, Juan Carlos, Faviola, and Esperanza; her grandchildren Maricela, Jesus, Iris, Domingo, Isaiah, Blake, and Andrew; and her great-granddaughter Madeline.
