<p>Mr. Barney W. Hill, passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2020.</p> <p>Barney was born on July 13, 1950 to the late Worth and Willa Mae Byerly Hill in Thomasville, NC. Barney was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was a disabled veteran from the Vietnam War. He was very active in Thomasville and Davidson County Government attending meetings and making his voice heard. He was an avid letter writer to local newspapers as well as a guest columnist for The Lexington Dispatch for many years. He is survived by extended family.</p> <p>No services will be held per Barney’s wishes. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Ruff Love Rescue P.O. Box 2013 Thomasville, NC 27360 or to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292.
