Mercedes Mary Snell “MZALLPA” Iron Appears made the choice to go home to be with her relatives over there, for there were no more roads left here to travel on this side. She said don’t cry for me, I’m not suffering anymore, and that she had lived her life and she had a full life and asked all those she helped to remember what she said to you. She says there is a lesson in there. She was born February 3, 1943 in Lodge Pole, Montana to William Shields and Mary Violetta Matt, of this union she had a brother and sister. Mercy is preceded in death by her father William Shields, Mary V. Matt, George Shields, Isabell (Lodge) Shields, Brother George Sonny Shields Jr., Ronald Shields, sons Richard Snell, Hudi Dwayne Horn, She is Survived by her son Tracy Lee Shields, Raymond James Snell, Daughter Barbie Snell One Bear, Daughter in law Shannon Elaine Kinsley, Grandchildren Tashina Shields, Shandaia Shields, Frankie One Bear, Dorthey Arnold, Joseph Shields, Meryna Shields, Patrick One bear, John Jr. One Bear, Travis Shields, AJ Snell and a handful of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Adopted sons Jerry Gray, Johnny Huges.  Everyone that knew her loved her. Her family gave her great joy.
