Mr. Ostrom John Ray Weaver, 66, of Happy Hollow Road, Fort Plain, New York died Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at his home. Born on September 16, 1954 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Ostrom J. Weaver and Shirley Wohlgemuth Weaver. He was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1972 and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Weaver worked for Weaver’s Sanitation then later in life took on his own business. He was of Protestant faith. He enjoyed riding his lawn mower and making jokes. His daughter, Lisa Weaver; granddaughters, Michaela and Kimberlee Jump predeceased him. Mr. Weaver is survived by his companion of over 30 years, Darlene “Girl” Brooks; son, Kevin Jump and Samantha; daughters, Kelly Adriance and Barry, Kimberly Funaro and David; step-children, Brenda and Josh Henderson, Wayne and Heather Hebert, Joseph and Tia Hebert; sister, Debbie Nettleton; brother, Randy and Tammy Weaver, and his beloved brother and partner in crime, Brian Weaver; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 10:00AM at Ephratah Rural Cemetery with Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
