James D. Andres

Bridgeport, Michigan Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Age 81 years. Son of the late Charles and Eva (Holland) Andres, James was born June 22, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army. James married Lois Ray Wilcox, his loving wife of 58 years, on June 16, 1962. She survives him. Jim was employed at G.M. in skilled trades retiring in 2000. He was a member of St. Francis DeSales Parish. Jim enjoyed fling airplanes and was a member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He was also a HAM operator. Surviving besides his wife Lois are one son and one daughter, David and Jean Andres, Bridgeport; Christine and Bob Peaphon, Birch Run; two grandchildren, Rachael Grace Andres and Jacob David Andres; one brother, Joseph and Sharon Andres, Florida; one sister, Mary and Jerry Burk, Bloomfield Hills; several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by two brothers, Chuck and Jack Andres. Honoring Mr. Andres wishes cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at St. Francis DeSales Parish, 3945 Williamson Rd., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. John S. Mancini, OSFS will officiate. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. In accordance with State mandate ordinances, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Francis DeSales Parish.
