Mr. Thomas Green

<p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><em><strong>THOMAS WAYNE GREEN</strong></em></span></span> entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 peacefully at his home in Newport News, Virginia. He was born June 13, 1962 to the late Frances Boyd-King and Amos Green of King Queen County, Virginia. Thomas Wayne Green affectionately known as &ldquo;Mr. Green&rdquo; was born and raised in King Queen County, Virginia and attended King Queen County Public Schools. Thomas enjoyed landscaping, cooking, music, entertaining, and took pride in serving his community especially the youth by waking early in the morning to pass put snacks and share words of inspiration before they headed to school. Thomas truly loved his community, he was nominated for People 3 <span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><em><strong>&ldquo;Taking Action&rdquo;</strong></em></span></span> in the community and was loved and respected by many.</p> <p>Thomas is preceded in death by his father Amos Green and mother Frances Boyd-King:&nbsp;brothers Freddie Boyd; Herman and Harvey Wise.</p> <p>Those who remain to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, the love of his life and special companion, Ms. Sherita Brown of Virginia; four daughters Shaunte Lee (Charles); Whitney Green; Ashley Green, Miracle Davis of Virginia; six grandchildren Jaylen; Jerry; Damari; Na&rsquo;Sha; Ava; and Carter. Brothers Sherman Wise (Peggy) of Virginia. Arthur Wise of Virginia. Amos Wise of Connecticut. Simon Boyd (JoAnne) of Virginia. Two sisters Stephanie Green of New Jersey and Tandra Green of Pennsylvania and a special adopted sister Margretta Edwards of Virginia; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.</p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><em><strong>We love you Thomas, but God loves and needed you more. Your past did not define the man you became. Carter Funeral Home. Inc.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Services for Mr. Green will be held at 11:00a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Big Bethel Road&nbsp;by Dr. Christopher C. Viewing for Mr. Green will be held from 1:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home. Inc.

 

Services for Mr. Green will be held at 11:00a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Big Bethel Road by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr.

 

Mask are required for entry into the funeral home and the church. Social distancing practices will be followed. 

 

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
