Sylvia J. Tester

Sylvia J. Tester, 89, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at her home, due to heart complications.  Sylvia Jane Schultz was born on March 14, 1931, the daughter of Max and Adeline (nee Schuett) Schultz. Sylvia graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1948. On November 20, 1948, she married James Tester at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Farmington. They had three children, Judith, Vicki, and Marty. She was employed at various jobs throughout her working life. In her retirement years, Sylvia enjoyed an occasional bus trip to the casino and, recently, enjoyed doing adult coloring books. Her family and her faith were the most important things in her life.  Sylvia is survived by her children, Vicki Brom of Watertown and Marty (Rosie) Tester; grandchildren, Andrew Kohlhoff, Kara Ellis, Kelly Brom, Amy Litscher, Lindsey Tester, Briana Tester, Brandon Tester, and Bryan Tester; great-grandchildren, Helena and Theodore Kohlhoff, Anesah Ellis, and Wyatt Brom. She is further survived by one brother, Orville (Mary) Schultz; three sisters, Marlene (Frank) Buss, Betty Klausch, and Barbara (Lennis) Henning.  Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; husband James (2003); daughter, Judith Kohlhoff (2020); grandson, Nikolas Brom (2006); sons-in-law, Edward Kohlhoff (2016) and Michael Brom (2016). She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wilmer and Marvin Schultz, as well as brother-in-law Stanley Klausch.  A private, family, graveside service will be held at Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to St. Mark’s Church. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family.
