Dominic J. Lizzio, age 95 years of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Angeline (nee Farinelli). Devoted father of Dominic V. (Jean), Michael (Debra), Mario (Theresa), Thomas (Cindy), John and the late Anthony. Loving grandfather “Pop” of Jennifer Ettore (Justin), Jeffrey, Dominic Paul, Michael (Amanda), Danielle, Amanda Gordon (Michael), Salvatore (MaryJane), Lauren Tindal (Robert), Thomas (Kari), Zachary and Nicole; Great-Grandfather to Cooper, Bodhi, Daniel, Gianna, Cassidy, Lucca Hall, Matthew, Michael, Mia, Sophia and Eliana. Devoted brother of the late Angelina Cardella, Joseph, Alfred, Grace Parto, Gloria Aiello and survived by 1 sister, Rita Driver (Frank). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Prior to retirement, Dominic was employed at Transit of NJ for 30 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII and a recipient of 5 medals, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal 5 stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Victory Medal and Meritorious Mast. Dominic was also a Fleet Champion and undefeated boxer and barber in the Navy. Dominic loved to farm and could often be found plowing his yard or in his greenhouse tending to his vegetables. He had the best tomatoes in South Jersey and was known as the "King of Tomatoes." Relatives and friend are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow privately due to Covid19 restrictions. Due to the current COVID19 restrictions, we ask that you limit your stay so others may enter the building to pay their respects. Face masks must be worn inside the funeral home.
