Celestine D “Sally” Timmons, age 96, of North Bend, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society of Millard. She was born May 30, 1924 in Weston, Nebraska to Emil and Rose (Dolezal) Maly. Sally grew up at Weston and later moved to Omaha. She married William J. Timmons on August 5, 1967 in Fremont. He died December 6, 2001. In 1996 she came to North Bend. Sally was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in North Bend, St. Anne’s Altar Society, Christian Mothers, Optimist Club, past president of the Optimist Mrs. Club, Lions Club, and the Civil Air Patrol. She sang in the choir at Blessed Sacrament & St. Margaret Mary Catholic Churches in Omaha, former member of North Bend VFW Auxiliary. Sally spent a lot of time at the Senior Center in North Bend. She loved traveling, dancing and crafting. Sally was quite the seamstress making many veils for weddings, count cross stitched and played bridge, samba, bunko and pitch. She loved being around people and enjoyed her grandchildren immensely. She is survived by her sons, Clyde (Joan) Garmong of Omaha, and Robert (Cindi) Garmong of Ft. Calhoun, NE; sisters, Rita Cerny of North Bend and Adeline Woita of Omaha; brother Raymond Maly of Wahoo; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Garmong; daughter, Celeste Garmong; grandson, Chad Garmong; and brother, Don Maly. Memorial Mass 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 7, 2020 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in North Bend. Masks will be required. Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 6th from 5-7 PM With a Rosary at 7 PM all at Moser Memorial Chapel in FREMONT. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, North Bend, NE.
