<p>Sharif D. Sligh Obituary</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Sharif Dominic Sligh was born on July 31, 1991 in Philadelphia, Pa to Glendora Sligh and the late Grady Johnson. He graduated from Overbrook High School and furthered his education at Shippensburg University where he received his Bachelors of Social Work (BSW)</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>On October 25, 2020, at the age of 29, God saw fit to call one of his angels home.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Affectionately known as &ldquo;Reef&rdquo; he always strived to bring &ldquo;Good Vibes&rdquo; and positivity as a way to uplift the spirits of his loved ones. He was well known for his undying loyalty to those he loved. His silly, yet loving and caring nature brought happiness to all those around him. Sharif was also notorious for his swag and stylish clothes. Sharif was never out of place and always made sure he made his weekly barbershop appointment.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Sharif was an accomplished social worker. In his short tenure, Sharif worked at Simpson House where he was Director of Social Services. He advocated for the wellbeing of the clients and was loved by all residents and staff. Outside of the workplace, Sharif was a humanitarian in all facets of life. He was the Vice President of Lifting Youth for Future Endeavors (LYFE), a non-profit organization geared towards supporting the youth in the West Philadelphia community. He found pleasure in spending time with family and friends. Sharif had an uplifting spirit and was always ready to help anyone in need.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Sharif leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; his mother Glendora Sligh, grandmother Azalee Cook, grandfather Otto Gray, very special friend Tommy Holmes, four sisters, Charisma Isaac (Travis), Schavell Dozier, Renee Johnson, Sharnell Johnson, four brothers, Lamar Johnson, Thaddeus Houston, Grady Houston, and Antwain Sykes, niece Zykera Isaac, two nephews Zahiar Isaac and Zamir Isaac, great-aunt Barbara Sligh, great-uncle Larry Sligh, eleven aunts and four uncles. Special cousin Essence Owens, Godson Noah Jones and Goddaughter Asaiya Walker and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Sorrowfully submitted, the family</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Sharif Dominic Sligh was born on July 31, 1991 in Philadelphia, Pa to Glendora Sligh and the late Grady Johnson. He graduated from Overbrook High School and furthered his education at Shippensburg University where he received his Bachelors of Social Work (BSW)

 

On October 25, 2020, at the age of 29, God saw fit to call one of his angels home. 

 

Affectionately known as “Reef” he always strived to bring “Good Vibes” and positivity as a way to uplift the spirits of his loved ones. He was well known for his undying loyalty to those he loved.
