Reverend Willie Mae Peterson Obituary

Reverend Willie Mae Peterson of Tampa passed away Monday, October 26, 2020.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Life in Christ Community Church, 9706 N. 26th Street, Reverend Marcia Turner, officiating with Reverend Arthur Randall, Eulogist.  Please follow the CDC guidelines.  Masks are required. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Ms. Willie Mae Peterson was a native of Ocilla, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for 66 years.  She was a graduate of Chamberlain High School and was a member of Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church.  Ms. Peterson was employed as a Line Inspector with Honeywell/Group Technology. 

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Susie Mae Carver; father, Nathaniel Carver; and son, James Peterson. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Sulema Hester; sons, Walter Johnson and Charles Baker; sister, Sheila Thomas (Fred); grandchildren, Corey Chisholm, Ramel Hester, Brandon Goff, James Peterson, Jr. (LaTasha), Jayson Peterson, Jada Peterson, and Jarquez White; great granddaughter, Faith Peterson; nieces, Lakendra Manes (Bismarck) and Shelathia Hilliard; nephews, Frederick Thomas, Jermaine Thomas and Christopher Thomas; great nephews and nieces, Steve Lee, Jacob Manes, Andre Hilliard, Trevon Hilliard, Kenya Hilliard, Kobi Hilliard, Cherise Shaw, Malaysia Facin, and Kevin Facin; God children, Robert Reese II (Nicole), Tiffany Solomon, and Charles Bellamy; special friends, Lou Henery, Lilly Williams, Willie Mae Williams, Willie Mae Charles, Dorothy Johnson, LaTesa Moore, Loretta Ingraham Super Seniors, Pilgrims Rest M. B. Church family and the ladies of Honeywell/Group Technology. 

The Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
