Missionary Ruby Jewell Jackson was born August 17, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of Clembo and Laura Black. While she will forever be in our hearts, Ruby peacefully passed away at home on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 78 years of age. Missionary Ruby served the Lord for forty years. She began her ministry at New Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Superintendent Allen Paige and concluded her ministry at Refreshing Life Ministries C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Superintendent Edward Jones. She credited her acceptance to Christ on the witness of her best friend and prayer warrior, Missionary Essie McMath. She was a prayer warrior that was available and ready to pray for all those she encountered. Missionary Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Clembo and Laura Black; grandparents; sisters, Bulah Reid, Estella Abraham and Wanda Simington; brothers, Cleveland and Earlie Black. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Iris (Ellis) Burns; four sons, Elder Nathaniel Jr. (Era) Jackson, Telvin Jackson (Ashley), all of Saginaw, Michigan, Patrick Jackson, Lansing, Michigan, Fredrick Jackson (Donica), Grand Rapids, Michigan; thirteen grandchildren, Natalie, Natalijia, Brandon, Jeremy (Arkeisha), Patricia, Leticia, Patrick Jr., Dominque, Datoria, Karena, Shawna, Ellis Jr. and Telvin II; nineteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruthie B. Black, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Starlin Simington, Arkansas; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. View Funeral Webcast
