Arminda Moreta

Peabody – Arminda Moreta 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Devereaux House Healthcare Center in Marblehead surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bani, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Ramon and Luisa (Gonzalez) Moreta. A resident of Peabody since 1965, Arminda dedicated her life to raising her family. She was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving her are two sons, Elvin Moreta and his wife, Luisa and Christian Moreta, two daughters, Laila Moreta and Yaira Gonzalez and her husband, Francisco and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Please meet directly at church the morning of the funeral. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
