Louise Nishijima Meneely, age 89, of West Mifflin, , passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 27th, 2020. She was born and raised in Honolulu, HI, where she met and married Merl; to whom she was married for 55 years. She was the mother of Diane Meneely, Dorothy (Michael) Diaco of Erie, David (Deborah) Meneely, Nancy Fortnum, Dale (Trisha) Meneely, Timothy Meneely and Terri Meneely; grandmother of William, Patrick, Timothy Jr., Joshua (Shelby), Jarrod, Alexander and Nathan; sister of Grace Kagoshima. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents Sakuta and Toye (Sanada) Nishijima, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Fortnum. She was a loving mother and grandmother and adored by all who knew her. She worked at Gimbels and Kauffmans until she retired in 2002. She loved Pittsburgh sports especially her beloved Pirates. She also enjoyed casino trips with friends and family. She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in McKeesport.
