Gloria Eleanor Martin, born in Pecos, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving behind her children, Andy J. Anderson, Michael L Anderson and his wife, Shirley, Theresa (Teri) M. Cella and her husband, Brian; 6 grandchildren, Jacob Cortez and wife, Kasey, Jerrid Cortez, Joseph Cortez, Aubreanna Cortez, Tina Anderson, Neomi Clark and husband, David; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward Chavez and wife, Lin, Robert Chavez and wife, Josie; sisters, Helen Chavez, Linda Chavez, and Anita Wood and husband, Tom; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and true friends.

Gloria was proceeded in death by her mother, Esther Chavez; father, Edward Chavez; her son, Christopher E. Anderson; and her sister, Jackie Cunningham.

We will remember Gloria for her love of gardening, painting, and reading, and also for her loyalty to her family and friends, her candor, and her sense of humor. She had a desire to never stop learning new things. At the age of 80, Gloria decided to learn how to play the piano and loved to show off all that she had learned during her most recent lesson to anyone willing to listen. Gloria was loved by so many and will be dearly missed by all.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020, 10:00 a.m., followed by a Service at 10:30 a.m. Both will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, Albuquerque, NM, and will be broadcast via webcast.

Due to limitations set by the Governor of NM and the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, the Service is limited to her children and grandchildren.
