Lillian Ann Welch 81, of Keyser, West Virginia passed away Monday October 26, 2020 at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, West Virginia.  Mrs. Welch lived at the home of her daughter, Teresa who was also her caregiver.  

A funeral service for Mrs. Welch will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 30, 2020 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Dillon officiating.  Mrs. Welch will be laid to rest in her home state of Maine at a later date.

Mrs. Welch, who was affectionally known as “Nana”, was born in Trenton, Maine on April 6, 1939 a daughter of the late Charles Henry and Gertrude Mary Boulier Springer.  She was a member of the Cardville United Pentecostal Church in Cardville, Maine for 30 plus years before moving to West Virginia, where she lived with Charlie and Linda McPhee and attended Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church in Winchester, VA.  Nana was a waitress then worked as a sewing operator in a shoe manufacturing plant before becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant prior to her retirement.  Lillian was “Nana” to all and had a special place in her heart for Cheryl Madore, who became a second daughter to her.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Charles Springer, Jr., Donald Springer, Roberta McLaine, Arlene Levesque, Thelma Doane, and Velma Howard. 

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Ann James of Keyser, WV; her grandchildren, Kassandra McPhee (Kurt) of Inwood, WV, Paul Cote, III (Shirley) of East Millinocket, Maine, Nichole LaValley (Frank) of Jackson, Maine, Jesse James-Cote of Keyser, WV and Mary Corey (Josh) of Keyser, WV; her great-grandchildren, K.J. McPhee (Natasha) , Makayla Sandy (Brandon), Noah McPhee, Natalee Cote, Marcus Cote, Silas Cote, Declan Cote, Piper Cote, Hayley LaValley, Kalel LaValley, Isabella Cote, Allison Corey, and Zeke Corey; two great-great-grandchildren Clark McPhee and Lex McPhee, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday evening one hour prior to the service.
