Jessica (Jessi) Meridith Mauldin, 30, of East Cobb and Duluth, GA died from a seizure on May 23, 2017. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Mauldin is survived by her parents, Charles and Melanie Mauldin; brother, Christopher Eric Mauldin; Aunt, Meridith Rogers Holroyd and Uncle Rick Holroyd; fiancé, Johan Harvey. She would take people under her protective wing whenever she knew her love and attention were needed. Her presence in a room was graced with love and joy, laughter and beauty. She was everybody’s sunshine, unafraid of anything and wise beyond her years. Jessi Mauldin was not a common everyday anyone, she was very special and unique. The Putnam County Animal Shelter accepted a little 3 week old kitten that we found abandoned on our lake property in May 2017. After many rejected phone calls to other animal rescue foundations, this shelter made room for the little black kitten who is doing very well.
