<p>Jassiem Tykeil Turner, 23, of Springfield, MA departed this life on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, as a result of a tragic accident.&nbsp; Born in Brooklyn, NY, October 30, 1996, he was the son of Alycya Raquel Smith-Cook and Demond Tykeil Turner.&nbsp; In December 2005, Jassiem joined his mother and siblings in their relocation to Springfield.&nbsp; He attended Central High School and was a member of St. John&#39;s Congregational Church.&nbsp; He was known throughout the community as a phenomenal artist, rapper and skate boarder.&nbsp; He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother and father Alycya Smith-Cook and Demond Turner, a brother Trent Smith of Springfield; six sisters Darnycya Smith&nbsp; and Dyamond-Asy Smith both of Middletown, NY, Shonar Turner of Albany, NY, Nickia Corbett of Brooklyn, NY, D-Mya Smith and Chrysteena Smith both of Springfield, MA, an uncle Russell Gaither Jr. (Quiana) of Middletown, NY; special cousins Heavyn-Leigh Gaither of Middletown, NY and Anasia Smith of Brooklyn, NY;&nbsp; his grandparents Sarah Hoffler and Michael Hoffler of Middletown, NY and Mary Turner of Brooklyn and his best friends Tomas and Chris of Springfield, MA;.&nbsp; He was predeceased by his grandfather Russell Gaither Sr.&nbsp; The calling hour is&nbsp; 3-4 p.m. Friday at Christian Cathedral, 205 Eastern Avenue, Springfield followed by a celebration of Jasseim&#39;s life on his 24th birthday.&nbsp; Social distancing and face masks are required.</p>
