Sharon D. Korocedes Obituary

Sharon (Bice) Korocedes of Canton passed away peacefully October 26, 2020 following a brief illness. She was born on February 13, 1954 in Canton, Ohio and attended Lincoln High School, where she meet the love of her life George. Married for 50 years and together shared two wonderful sons. Sharon is preceded in death by her son and daughter-n-law, Gregory and Stephanie Korocedes, and parents, Evelyn and Lee Mitchell. She is survived by her loving husband, George and son, Nick; six grandchildren, Gregory Jr. (Stephanie), Ben, Lahny, Chancellor, Jace and Chloe and 4 great grandchildren. Also, two sisters Georgia (Paul) Santilli, DeDe Mitchell, and three brothers, Gary (Diane) Bice, Dale Mitchell and Lonnie Mitchell; three sisters-n-law, Jodie Miller, Jayne Halter and Tammy (Chuck) Corregan. Her life revolved around her family, she enjoyed watching all the grandchildren's sporting events, school events, and show car events, anything they were involved in she was there for support. We would like to share a few fun things that you may or may not have known about Sharon. Her car only knew one direction, and that was East on Route 172 to WV - Mountaineer Casino, she never met a slot machine she didn't like. When it was baseball season she couldn't wait to lay on her big water bed and watch her beloved Cleveland Indians, actually she enjoyed yelling at them, good thing she wasn't their coach. And then there is Elvis, she probably could have named ever movie he was in and ever song he sang. Didn't matter if it was an Elvis impersonator, she enjoyed them too. But most of all, Sharon made friends where ever she went, she had that ability to make people feel special. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Cleveland Clinic for taking such good care of her during her illness. She will be truly missed by her husband, son, family and friends. Calling hours will be held Friday from 10-11am at Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. Private service will be held. Final resting place will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
