Jeannette (Schwanz) Cran age 80 of Denmark Township died peacefully at home the morning of Monday October 26, 2020. Jeannette Helen, the oldest daughter for Clarence & LaVerna (Heuer) Schwanz was born January 21, 1940 in St Paul, MN. She graduated from Rosemount High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Gary L. Cran on September 19, 1970 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Paul. They were blessed with 2 children. She was a caregiver by nature. Helping with her siblings and dad when he underwent the first of its kind open heart surgery at the University of Minnesota in 1953 to caring for her late husband who had front lobal dementia and many family members in between. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Inspired by her father’s medical journey, Jeannette started in a full time position at St.Luke’s Hospital (NKA United Hospital) in September 1957. She moved into a medical secretary role and retired 49 years and 20 days later from her roll as a medical transcriptionist. Along the way she made many life long friends. Jeannette loved to travel. As a young adult, her girlfriends and her traveled across North America taking in sites like Washington DC, Yellowstone, the Rocky Mountains, Grand Canyon, California and Mexico. Her love for travel was shared with her husband and kids as she planned numerous road trips across the country and continued until her husbands health failed and they could not longer even take drives in the county. Jeannette is survived by her children Sara (Ken) Liebl of Dennison MN and Donald of Denmark Township. Four grandchildren, Emily, John, Joseph & Clare Liebl. Sisters Bonita Barret (Myron) and Geraldine (George) Yeager; Sister in law Darlene Cran, close aunt Bernice Betts; niece Kris Wensmann (David); nephews David Barrett(Sue), Dean Cran, Brian Cran (Susan), Kelly Kayser (Bruce), Steven Yaeger (Sarah), cousins, and numerous lifelong friends. Proceeded in death by her parents, husband, special aunt Eldora Heuer and bonus sister Pamela Ketcham. Family and Friends are cordially invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday November 7th from 1-4pm at Ridgetop (Prescott WI). Memorial Service at 2pm.
