Cyril Noseworthy Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador Obituary

Cyril Noseworthy

Noseworthy, Cyril - It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Center of a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend; Cyril Noseworthy, age 71 years. Leaving to mourn his beautiful wife of 47 years, Betty (nee Carroll), daughter Kim Dwyer and son Scott Noseworthy (Jane). Grandchildren, Kelsey Dwyer, Brooke Dwyer, Nicholas and Katelyn Noseworthy. Son-in-law Craig Dwyer. Also left with broken hearts his siblings; Sandra Gibb, Andy Noseworthy (Rose), Marilyn Baxter (Ted), Leah Mullett (Abe), Gloria Davis (Tim), Barbara Young (Sherwood) and Judy Shea. Special friend Harry Collins (Mary). Cyril was also blessed with a large circle of in-laws (The Carroll family), cousins and friends. Cyril was the epitome of love and family. His and Betty’s home has always been a haven for all who entered. He loved to have people stay and Sunday dinner was always an open table. If you came a stranger, you were guaranteed to leave as a friend. Cyril volunteered for many years with the Lions club, Kinsmen club and Legion. He started a family business 40 years ago creating a niche market in the field of auto detail, something unheard of at the time. Working long hours 7 days a week building the business. He retired at the end of 2019 with a reputation untouchable, master of his craft. He set the bar pretty high for all those coming behind him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 7:00-9:00pm, Monday, November 2, 2020 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. As per Covid restrictions, the funeral service will be held at Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel by invitation only. However, the service will be livestreamed on Tuesday, November 3 at 1:00pm, for those wishing to attend virtually. To view, please follow the link provided the day of the service on Barrett’s main webpage. To leave a message of condolence please visit www.barretts.ca. We would like to thank Dr. Lodge for his care over the past few years as well as the doctors and staff of the ICU at the Health Sciences Center. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
