Merle R. Pasini Obituary

Our family regrets to announce the passing of Merle Robert Pasini, 79, Chandler, Arizona, on October 25, 2020 after a prolonged illness. Merle was born on Jun 23, 1941 to Mary and Joseph Pasini, at home, in Mulberry, Kansas. After attending St. Mary’s High School and graduating from College High School in 1959, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served all over the world until his retirement in Arizona in 1981. He retired from military service in 1981 and went on to work in civil service at Luke Air Force Base and Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field until he suffered a stroke in 1998. It was during his worldwide travels and an assignment in England that he met his future wife, Rita to whom he was married for 56 years. From humble beginnings, Merle worked hard to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant the world to him and he said “Love You” up to the very last day of his life. Merle was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed reloading ammunition, fishing and communicating via Ham radio. He also loved being at home watching western movies and Gunsmoke. Merle was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Joseph. He is survived by his wife Rita, daughters Donna (Jon), Karen (Solomon) and four grandchildren: Solomon Anthony Duran, Nathan Duran, Sara Beedle and Erica Beedle all of whom were immense sources of pride and joy. He is also survived by his sister, Loretta (Clifford). Due to present day circumstances there will be a private service at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Arizona Human Society.
