Connie Jo Misenhimer Obituary

Connie Jo Misenhimer, 73, of Filer, passed away on October 23, 2020 in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Connie was born in Twin Falls on March 16, 1947 to Frank and Beth Hafer. She was the middle of three girls. She attended elementary school in Twin Falls and then her family moved to the Bay Area in California where she graduated from Newark High School in 1965.

Connie married on April 1, 1967 and had three children, Kristen, Brian, and Karen. In 1972, Connie and her family moved back to Twin Falls. She met her husband, Dee Misenhimer, and they married on July 24, 1981. Together they raised her three children and spent time with his two children. She held various office jobs throughout her life. Connie and Dee moved to Buhl, Idaho where they purchased Northland Cold Storage in 1988.

Above all else, Connie’s favorite job was being a grandma and eventually, a great grandma. She was very artistic and loved to paint. She was an amazing cook and baker. It was a tradition to decorate sugar cookies for every holiday with her grandchildren. She was an incredible seamstress and sewed many Halloween costumes, doll clothes, and blankets. She babysat the grandkids whenever she could and spoiled them with trips to the shop for candy, soda, and pepperoni sticks. Connie and Dee never missed a sporting event. They spent many evenings and weekends at games and rodeos supporting the grandkids.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Fran. She is survived by her husband, Dee; her three children, Kristen, Brian (Christie), and Karen; and two stepchildren, Robin and Dawn. She is also survived by her sister, Karla; her niece, Becky; her nephew, Scott; her 12 grandchildren, Sara (Justin), Justis, Kelsey, Tyson, Cassidy, Andrew, Jacob, Brendan, Julia, Chloe, Allison, and Trevor; as well as five great-grandchildren, Ryder, Parker, Sawyer, Bryer, and Hazel.

A viewing will be held from 5pm until 7:30pm, Thursday, October 29, 2020 with a Rosary to follow at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave North, Buhl.
