POLLEY, M. ROLLAND, Jr. "Ron" of Clarkston; Went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2020; age 84; He was married to the love of his life, Doris Elmy Polley, sharing 64 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife Doris, daughter, son, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and another due in 2021. Son of the late M. Rolland Sr. and Alice Polley. Brother of Evelyn (Sid) Gregory, the late Geraldine (late Jim) Kalso, the late Leon (April), Howard (Nancy), and Gary (late Sally). Ron retired as the Manager of Auditing for Oakland County, with 35 years of service. He served the Township of Waterford as a volunteer firefighter for 14 years, receiving a Meritorious Service Citation in 1986. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pontiac for 61 years, until they merged with Woodside Bible Church, remaining active in his Berean Adult Fellowship Group. He and his wife owned and operated The Tax Group for over 50 years, an accounting and income tax business. They have traveled to all 50 states, Canada, and many foreign Countries. Dad was known as the family photographer and was always eager to capture family moments on film. He has used his accounting and auditing skills in the past with several organizations, including, The First Baptist Church of Pontiac, Oakland County Retirees Association, Oakland County 4-H Association, North Oakland County Girl Scout Association, Waterford Township Firefighters Association, and the Oakland County Youth Assistance Program. One thing he found both relaxing and pleasurable, was his love of hunting. This sport has taken him to many states in the United States, Canada and South Africa. His most gratification came in his life by spending time with his wife, family and serving his church. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the Waterford Township Volunteer Firefighters Museum.
