Sally C. Levy, 78, of Susquehanna Township, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. Sally was born on July 15, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late Isadore and Esther (Kaufer) Cohen. Sally attended Wilkes college and played viola in the symphony orchestra. She retired from Dauphin County Children & Youth as a caseworker, having spent the first part of her career as a music teacher in New Jersey, and every student’s favorite substitute teacher at The Susquehanna Township School District. She was a member of Temple Ohev Sholom, the sisterhood of Temple Ohev Sholom, and Hadassah. Sally will be remembered for her outgoing personality, generosity and her love of family and friends. Sally enjoyed traveling, word games, the beach, sailing the Chesapeake with Frank, and taking her daughters-in-law and granddaughters shopping. Sally was a loving wife to Franklyn Levy, proud mother of Sam and his wife Robin, Matthew and his wife Lisa, and doting grandmother to Bryan, Alyssa, Jayson, Jeremy and Jamie. She is survived by her brother, Allan Cohen of Baltimore, MD; and her sister, Bernice Moses of York. Funeral services will be private for the family. Memorial contributions in Sally’s honor may be made to Temple Ohev Sholom, 2345 North Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
