<p><strong>Gottlieb J. Wilmsmeyer, 91, of Marthasville, MO, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Cedarcrest&nbsp; Manor, Washington, Missouri.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Gottlieb was born in Washington, Missouri on September 23, 1929, the son of the late John &amp; Frieda (Seickmann) Wilmsmeyer.</strong></p> <p><strong>He was the husband of Shirley (Smith) Wilmsmeyer.&nbsp; They were married in Topeka, Kansas.</strong></p> <p><strong>After graduating high school Gottlieb joined the United States Air Force.&nbsp; He served in the Air Force for 21 years as a pilot and retired with the rank of Major.&nbsp; Following his Air Force retirement he went to work at People Savings Bank in Rhineland and then later for Bay-Hermann-Berger Bank in Hermann.&nbsp; After his banking career he fully retired and started farming on the family farm.&nbsp; He was a member of Smith Creek Church, Marthasville, Missouri.</strong></p> <p><strong>Gottlieb is survived by his wife Shirley Wilmsmeyer, of the home; a son, Bruce Wilmsmeyer, of Marthasville, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Geralyn (Klos) Wilmsmeyer; of Ballwin, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Courtney Santeliz &amp; husband Rafael and Christopher Wilmsmeyer; and three great grandchildren, Emmett, Benji, and Eli.&nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, David B. Wilmsmeyer.</strong></p> <p><strong>Services may be held at a later date.&nbsp; Memorials may be given to Alzheimer&#39;s Association.&nbsp; C/O Toedtmann &amp; Grosse Funeral Home.</strong></p>

Gottlieb J. Wilmsmeyer, 91, of Marthasville, MO, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Cedarcrest  Manor, Washington, Missouri. 

Gottlieb was born in Washington, Missouri on September 23, 1929, the son of the late John & Frieda (Seickmann) Wilmsmeyer.
