Gene Burch Cannon, 70 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Cannon was born November 24, 1949 to Joe Cannon and Larue Burch Cannon. Funeral services for Mr. Cannon will be held on Tuesday, October 27 ,2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Charles Turner officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Cannon; daughters, Diane Gordon, Jennifer Cannon Wooley and Melanie Cannon Pinkerton (Brian); son, Johnny McMahan (Sonya); brother, Ted Cannon; sister, Jane McBay; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
