Angelia Denise Dycks Obituary

Angelia “Angie” Dycks was born on Thursday November 21st, 1963 in Brundidge, Alabama.  She departed this life peacefully on early Sunday October 25, 2020 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio.

At an early age Angelia received Salvation and was baptized at the Beecher Street Church of Christ.  Angelia lived in Cincinnati Ohio where she attended Woodward High School and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.   She worked at Christ Hospital as well as for many years for the University of Cincinnati.  Angelia was involved in Human Rights and participated in many marches and events throughout the community.  Angelia was an honorary member of the Ready to Roll S.C and participated in many events locally and throughout the U.S.  During her stay at Indian Springs Rehabilitation Center she was President of the Senior Council and fought hard for patient rights.

Angelia was a loyal supporter of her grandson Javier’s sports activities, particularly his football team:  the Cincinnati Eagles “Goon Squad”.  She would try to attend as many games as possible and supported him as he continued to play football for Holy Cross HS in Covington.

Angelia was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Ruth Perryman, as well as her brother Eric L. Perryman.  She is survived by her daughter, Carnisha Aridge, her grandson Javier Ison, her brothers; Tommy McCloud (Betty), Lucious A. Dyck,  Perry Dyck,  Austin J. Perryman , Andrew L Perryman, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and her entire adopted Aridge family.
